The newly established Australian Food Safety Centre of Excellence (a consortium of the Tasmanian Institute of Agricultural Research and Food Science Australia) will soon release the food processing segment of its new software package, The Food Safety ToolKit™. The Toolkit is a HACCP-based food safety system, which includes the development of support programs and HACCP.
The Food Safety ToolKit™ has been developed for small and medium sized businesses as well as teams in larger businesses who wish to be trained in food safety and how to implement a food safety system. The ToolKit™ comprises a CD and four hard-copy manuals.
We have divided the development of a food safety system into four stages. By the time users have completed Stage 4, they will have a well compiled food safety system which will cover all aspects of their food safety obligations.
A feature of The Food Safety ToolKit™ is the large number of worked examples and templates it contains making its use straightforward for all businesses.
In addition, users will have immediate access to the Australian Food Safety Centre of Excellence for assistance if required.
